STEAM Teacher Training

The STEAM Teacher Training course is a rigorous, two-week, 32-hour in-person program (or 20-hour online program) for STEAM educators in all fields who are interested in creating a multidisciplinary, student-centered learning experience for their participants. The curriculum covers four main modules: STEAM Lesson Planning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Effective Feedback in Experiential Learning, and Teacher Development Workshops. Not only will participants be able to use the appropriately adapted lesson planning framework, which allows them to apply an Experiential Learning approach with UDL guidelines to their STEAM activities, but they will also constantly be sharpening their skills through continuous reflective sessions. During the course period, participants will run teacher development workshops where they deliver student-centered content to their peers and receive feedback in guided reflection sessions. The course practices what it teaches, and offers a highly interactive, experiential learning experience guided by UDL principles.

Educators who successfully complete the course assignments will receive a certificate of completion offered by World Learning. Additionally, graduates of the course will be a part of the growing network of STEAM practitioners that World Learning is building in the region and will receive updates on prospective programs and exchanges in the region.
