The Center’s mission is not only to provide high-quality, experiential learning programs, but to sustainably spread best practices and pedagogy in STEAM to teachers across the Kingdom. We help teachers hone their skills and develop new ones essential to effective teaching, including Universal Design for Learning, STEAM Lesson Planning, Experiential Learning, and more. STEAM Teacher Training

The STEAM Teacher Training course is designed for STEAM educators across all fields who aim to create a multidisciplinary, student-centered learning experience. This intensive program is offered as a two-week, 32-hour in-person course or a 20-hour online course. The curriculum encompasses four main modules: STEAM Lesson Planning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Effective Feedback in Experiential Learning, and Teacher Development Workshops.

This interactive program embodies its principles, offering a hands-on, experiential learning experience guided by UDL. Participants will learn to use a lesson planning framework that integrates experiential learning with UDL guidelines, continuously honing their skills through reflective sessions. The course includes practical workshops where participants deliver student-centered content to peers and receive feedback in guided reflection sessions. 

For further development, a comprehensive 10-week course is available both in person and online. This advanced course explores pedagogy aligned with STEAM Center objectives, covering advanced UDL-based lesson planning, problem-solving, project-based learning, and effective assessment techniques.

STEAM Teacher Development Workshops

Our STEAM pedagogy workshops, delivered over weekends and holidays, are designed for busy teachers and target specific areas of development in STEAM teaching. These professional development sessions are customized to meet the needs and interests of local STEAM teachers and learners. Workshop topics include:

BP-STEAM Teacher Training

This semi-intensive course equips seasoned STEAM educators and aspiring STEAM education enthusiasts with best practices for running engaging workshops in their schools. The course modules cover lesson planning, UDL, giving and receiving feedback, project-based learning, and STEM practicum methodology
